Lately it has been one mess after another it seems like. This has been an extremely challenging year. There was my daughter and all the sinecures she was having. Her health was beginning to decline and I was scared that she may not make it through the year. It was an extremely hard point in life.
Then there was the baby. It is still haunting me almost every day. I always think about it and how things would be different if I was still pregnant. I know things happen for a reason but it doesn't make the situation hurt any less. My uncle that past away in June would have had his birthday yesterday. We decided to have a small family dinner in his honor. My cousin had his new baby there and I couldn't even look at it or go int the same room. It was horrible.
People who I thought were my friends have basically cut me off and no longer really even acknowledge me because they feel I don't have time for them and such. I guess that isn't too bad considering they have not taken me and my daughter into consideration and feel like we should worry about them more even though my life has been a mess.
The topper is now I am on the verge of losing my job. I do not make enough really as it is and now I might lose the only income I really have. I already owe like everyone a ton of money so losing my job is not really feasible. I have no control over it though at this point which makes it tough. They will either keep me or they won't.
So This year has not been one of my favorites. It has been one of the most trying, yet here I am still. I have no idea why I am here or what my purpose is but I am here. I will still take each day as it comes but what my reason is right now I do not know

No Card No Problem
So I explained to you how I have ditched my Debit Card and use cash now. I do have a couple credit cards for emergency purposes. I would just like to clarify that. I love using cash for many reasons. I can see it go. I know exactly what is happening to it. When it is gone it is gone so there is no over drafting my account on accident. As stated in my article about how to save money we don't have it helps me build up my savings with out even noticing it is gone.
When you use your debit card you just swipe but you do not really have that connection of giving it away. When you have to physically give it to some one it clicks a little different and when they hand a little less back than what you gave them, that is a connection. If you are out shopping and only have a certain amount of cash on hand to spend you know you can not go over. There is no picking up a few extras because you know you don't have it.
Another question is now how do I pay my bill? Well there is the old fashioned method Write a check and mail it to whom eve you need to pay. This does require buying stamps and with a few companies envelopes. If you have a Dollar Tree near you this is a great place to save money on stuff like that. Then there is the newer method. It is electronic withdrawal which the company can set up over the phone or you can set up an account with the company and make a payment each month or there is .online banking. I still have a checking account for certain things so I use my online bill pay. My money get directly deposited in my account on pay day and then I go into my bill payer and tell the bank when I want the money o be sent to the company I am paying. It is super easy and convenient. You can even make payments to people so if you need to pay back "Aunt Jackie" who you only see like maybe once a month you can put her in your bill pay and then she will get a check right from the bank.
You have many options to help deal with this new adventure. It does take some time and a little effort but if you stick with it you will find that you will see progress that is actually getting you some where. It didn't happen over night but slowly I have figured out what is working and I am getting there. Next I think we will talk about how to tackle paying bills in general especially if you get paid less than weekly. Thanks for reading and lets get saving.

Day 2 of Savings Apps
As promised I am continuing my posts about apps that are for shopping. I really like the apps because they are very convenient. I just have to remember my phone and I can save. I am not saying that I don't still use coupons but apps can also be used with coupons and I generally do the worst shopping mistake and shop on a whim instead of being prepared.
For today's topic we will discuss the key ring app. I like this app because you can put all your savings cards in one place. Instead of having a million loyalty cards in your wallet you can put them all on your phone. In addition to this for some of the stores it will even tell you the savings that are going on for that store. You can even join other programs that may not have a card but that Key Ring has partnered with. It is very helpful in getting your savings at your favorite stores.
I have been using it for awhile now and it has been a life saver. Sometimes I have had to grab a set of spare keys or I am driving a different car and then I don't have my card. I may even just be going for a short trip so I don't grab my wallet and that means no card. It is very frustrating to lose points or discounts because I forgot it. Nothing like not getting the sales items because you forgot your card.
That is why this app is so great. It clears up your wallet space which is nice for putting other things in there and it makes it less bulky. That is a bonus in itself. One thing any body can use is more space and less clutter. I know I am happy that way. If you are a multiple loyalty card holder this is a must have.
